OUR STORY
White Butterfly Candles is a woman owned, small business formed in 2019 simply out of love for candles and the wonderful scents that go along with them. Spending tons of money on big box store candles and having our white walls turn black; was our motivation to create clean candles and a more healthy environment. Since then, we have been refining our process to provide our customers with the highest of quality, eco-friendly, clean burning candles, and highly fragrant, long lasting wax melts.
Coming up with our name wasn't easy and took quite some time. One day, my kids and I were at the park playing tennis and decided to take a break and grab some water. As we sat in the corner of the court; a flutter of white butterflies came from nowhere and flew all around us. It was so peaceful and simply a beautiful sight to behold. We got up, continued to play, and the butterflies didn't leave and were with us for the remainder of our stay. It was truly a sign and from that point on, our name was White Butterfly Candles.
This was a pivotal moment in our lives personally, because we had just emerged from a very long, dark time and were starting a new life. The white butterfly can mean many things to people, but to us it signifies transformation, peace, harmony, and positive change. The world felt much lighter from that point on.

For the past 22 years, I've had the privilege of being a dedicated single mom, and it's been and continues to be the greatest adventure of my life. When I'm not making candles, you'll usually find me hanging out with my kids (I know!! grown kids who still like to be with mom, AMAZING! lol), spending time with my dogs (they hold a very special place in my heart 🐶), writing, embracing my creative side, or simply appreciating the little joys that life has to offer.
As my children were growing up, there was almost always a candle burning somewhere in our home. Lighting one became my way to slow down, relax, and find a little peace after a long day at work, or after one of life's more challenging moments. To this day, my favorite fragrance to unwind with is Sage & Citrus. It's my comfort scent. What's yours?
What started as a love for beautiful fragrances soon became something much more meaningful. When I began this journey, my goal was simple: create a clean-burning candle that people could truly enjoy. But I quickly realized my passion wasn't just about making candles, it was about creating an experience.
When I'm in my candle room, time seems to disappear. I lose myself blending fragrances, pouring each candle, and watching an idea come to life with my own two hands. Every candle is handcrafted with intention, love, and a little piece of my heart. Candle making has brought me a sense of peace and fulfillment I never expected, and knowing something I've created can bring comfort, warmth, and happiness into someone else's home, is the greatest reward of all.
